Luscious Lime Bars Recipe with Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

A new twist on an old favorite using lime instead of lemon, these bars are perfect for the spring holidays. Per serving, the lime bars have 30% fewer calories* and 75% less sugar* compared to the full-sugar version. Makes 16 bars.

Ingredients

Crust:
  • 23 stick Crisco® Baking Sticks Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening or 23 cup Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening

  • 13 cup Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 1 cup Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour

  • 12 cup graham cracker crumbs

  • 14 tsp salt

Filling:
  • 3 large eggs

  • 34 cup Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 1 Tbsp Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour

  • 112 tsp finely grated lime peel

  • 14 cup fresh lime juice

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.

For Crust:
  1. Beat shortening and Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend in medium bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy.

  2. Add flour, graham cracker crumbs and salt; beat until dough forms.

  3. Press into even layer in bottom of 9-inch square baking pan.

  4. Bake 20 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.

For Filling:
  1. Whisk eggs until blended.

  2. Whisk in Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend, flour and lime peel until blended. Whisk in lime juice.

  3. Pour over cool crust.

  4. Bake 25 minutes or until just set in center. Cool completely on wire rack. For best results, refrigerate for at least 2 hours prior to serving.
