Ingredients

  • 2 oz. rye whiskey

  • 3 dashes of Peychaud Bitters

  • 3 dashes of orange bitters

  • 1 dash of pure almond extract

  • 12 oz. Truvia Simple Syrup

Directions

  • 1.

    In a mixing glass add all the ingredients together and fill halfway with ice. Stir with a bar spoon for 15 seconds.

  • 2.

    Double strain onto glass filled with ice and garnish.

  • 3.

    Refrigerate leftovers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Satisfying I have been using Truvia in my coffee for months. It was only after I had a friend tell me how they made a simple syrup using Truvia did I branch out. I made the simple syrup and decided to try it in a drink that I thought would cover the difference in sweetness and taste. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the simple syrup added a new and delicious flavor to my old fashion. I can't wait to try it in other drinks!
