Granola Bar made with Truvia

These crunchy granola bars are packed with nutrients for a grab-and-go snack. Made with Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend, this granola bar version contains 50% less sugar* than the full-sugar version. Makes about 12 bars.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup crispy rice cereal

  • 1 cup high protein flakes cereal

  • 1 cup fiber twigs cereal

  • 1 cup oatmeal

  • 12 cup honey

  • 14 cup Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend

  • 18 tsp of ground cinnamon

  • 18 tsp of salt

  • 14 cup peanut butter

  • 14 cup shredded coconut

  • 2 Tbsp mini chocolate chips

  • Non-stick cooking spray

Directions

  • 1.

    Preheat oven to 375°F

  • 2.

    Place the 3 cereals and oatmeal in a large zip top food storage bag and lightly crush with a rolling pin.

  • 3.

    Add honey, Truvía® Cane Sugar Blend, cinnamon, salt and peanut butter into a heavy bottom saucepan and warm slightly to form a syrup.

  • 4.

    Pour cereal and oats back into a large bowl and add the syrup and peanut butter. Mix until evenly coated.

  • 5.

    Add coconut and chocolate chips and mix.

  • 6.

    Coat a 9 x 13 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and pour granola into the pan. Press granola to the desired thickness

  • 7.

    Bake for about 10 minutes or until edges just start to brown.

  • 8.

    Remove and cut into 12 bars while still hot. Cool bars and wrap in foil or air-tight container to store.

*This granola bar has 180 calories and 4 grams of sugar per bar as compared to the full-sugar version that has 180 calories and 8 grams of sugar per bar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from added sugar from cereal I have made this twice now and i enjoy it very much. But dont forget to add the extra carbs and sugar from the cereal. With the cereal i use there is actually 12 g of sugar in 1/12 of this recipe
