Ingredients

  • 4 cups (about 8 medium) ripe peaches, peeled, pitted and sliced

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  • ½ cup of zero-calorie Truvia Original Calorie-Free Sweetener Spoonable Jar***

  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • 2 Tbsp butter

  • 1 package unbaked refrigerated pie crust (14-oz. package with two round crusts)

  • 1 Tbsp milk

  • 1 tsp sugar

Directions

  • 1.

Preheat oven to 425° F. Remove crusts from refrigerator and warm to room temperature.

  • 2.

Stir peaches, lemon juice, Truvia Original Sweetener, cornstarch, salt and cinnamon together in medium bowl.

  • 3.

Unfold each round crust on a work surface, and cut into four quarters. Spoon 14 cup of fruit filling into center of each crust quarter and add a small dot of butter. Fold each dough quarter over the filling to form a triangle and press edges together with a fork to seal.

  • 4.

Transfer the hand pies to an ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with milk and sprinkle lightly with a pinch of sugar. Cut a 1-inch slit or small design in the top of each pie to allow steam to escape during baking.

  • 5.

Bake pies for 15–20 minutes until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly. Cool pies in the pans on wire racks.

  • 6.

    Store in a sealed container.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good! I tried this today, but will not use it again. Numerous problems, including pies sticking to the pan, because of juice overflow (would def. use parchment paper next time); cooking the peaches in the sauce would get rid of the strong corn starch texture and taste that comes out in reg. recipe; you must drain the peaches before adding them to pastry, etc. The best part of the pie was the homemade crust I used, from my own recipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from peach hand pies This was delicious, at first I thought it would have an artificial sweet taste, but it didn't it was a nice taste with just the amount of sweetness and I love that it is healthy with truvia.
