Stevia natural sweetener bites into sugar-free market
Natural sweeteners made from extract of the stevia plant have taken about 10 per cent of the US consumer market for table-top sugar substitutes, just nine months after being approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.

The French government has approved the use of rebaudioside A in food and beverages in France. This approval is the first for an EU market and allows the food and beverage industry to formulate with rebiana, high purity rebaudioside A, for the next two years.
